- Major or Current Achievements *: ACHIEVEMENTS Currently, UPCO has supported seven thousand, four hundred and fifty-eighty (7,458) children in various training at which they are now working on their own. Through UPCO, nine (9) deprived communities within and outside Accra metropolis have benefited from school building support. Through our outreach programme, personal hygiene in the deprived communities has improved tremendously. Through the support of well-wishers and sympathizers a good number of youth have gone through various activities of their choice of vocations such as masonry, carpentry, mechanics, hairdressing, sewing, and are now doing well with their families. About 75% of parents and families in our operational communities have had the opportunity to enroll their children in school. Rampant sex and with it, teenage pregnancy cases and frequent pre-death among young women have been dropped to 1%. General outreach on environment in the slums and rural oriented communities has improved steadily. Creation of inclusive and affordable main stream education for 350 out of school children.
